    How to Update the Link on Your NFC Card

    Change the URL your card opens — in under 2 minutes — from any iPhone or Android phone.

    Works with any NFC card — Let's Connect business cards, Google review cards, social media cards, review stands, and any other NFC-enabled product.

    Before you start

    Have your new URL ready. Make sure NFC is enabled — on Android it's under Settings → Connected devices → NFC. iPhones (XS and newer) have NFC always on.

    Which link can I use?

    Any URL works. Pick whichever action you want your card to trigger.

    Choose your phone

    Follow the steps for your device — same app, both platforms.

    iPhone — NFC Tools app

    Rewrites the card permanently. Requires iPhone 7 or newer running iOS 13+.

    Install NFC Tools

    Free on the App Store. Search for "NFC Tools" by wakdev — the blue icon. Requires iPhone 7 or newer on iOS 13+.

    Open the Write tab

    Launch the app and tap "Write" at the bottom, then "Add a record".

    Choose "URL / URI"

    Paste the link you want the card to open — profile page, Google review link, LinkedIn, Instagram, website, or any URL — then tap "OK".

    Tap "Write / 1 Record"

    Hold the top-back of your iPhone against the card until you see "Write complete".

    Test it

    Tap the card against any NFC-enabled phone — the new link should open in the browser.

    Troubleshooting

    Phone doesn't detect the card

    Try the top-back area of iPhone or the centre-back of Android. Remove thick cases and try again.

    "Write failed" in NFC Tools

    Hold the phone completely still on the card for 2–3 seconds. Move it slightly to find the antenna sweet spot.

    Card is locked / read-only

    Some cards are locked at manufacture for security. Contact us and we'll reprogram it or send a replacement.

    Link opens but with an old URL

    Clear your phone browser cache, or ensure you didn't leave a redirect on the previous link.
